Term Two Activities

What a jam packed term we have ahead, with so many exciting things to look forward to!

We've started persuasive writing, which will be our focus for Term 2. The students have been very engaged in their writing with some impressive improvements already and it's only been a week!

Year 6 have also been focusing on Patterns and Algebra in Maths, creating and describing patterns with whole numbers and decimals. We'll also be focusing on Fractions and Decimals, Chance and Money in the coming weeks.

For History, we are exploring 'Australia as a Nation'. This will fit nicely with our excursion to Canberra and I look forward to watching the students make connections to their learning whilst we explore Parliament House and lots of other great venues.

Stage 3 Camp will take place in Week 6 of this term and we will be visiting Questacon, Parliament House and the War Memorial...just to name a few! I'm very much looking forward to making many memories on this trip with the students.

It's crazy to think we will be half way through the school year at the end of this term! It's going to fly but how much fun are we going to have along the way? Keep shining Year 6!
