Term Three Activities
What a fabulous and busy start to Term 3 we have had in Akama!
This term has seen the students participate in lots of different activities including: NAIDOC Day celebrations, Education Week and Grandparents Day just to name a few. In Akama, we were lucky enough to have one of the students grandparent's share a story with us on Grandparents Day. She even brought along some props to go with the story! It was thoroughly enjoyed by all, young and old.
This term we have been learning about the environment and its features in Geography and Science. We went for a walk around our school to see what features were built, natural and managed! We used iPads to take photos and document what we saw.
In maths we have been learning lots! In strand, we have been learning about Area and Money. Here we are ordering the area of our hands from smallest to largest!
We worked in groups to find creative ways to make different amounts of money!
I am very proud of all the students efforts so far this term in their commitment to learning new and exciting things! Well done Akama...
